Chinese Premier Li Qiang and PM Shehbaz open Gwadar Airport

China will continue to contribute to Pakistan's growth, according to Chinese Premier Li Qiang.

He made these remarks at a signing event for several agreements between China and Pakistan that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was present at.

During the occasion, Gwadar International Airport was formally launched by both prime ministers.

Documents pertaining to human resource development, the 7th Joint Working Group meeting on Gwadar under CPEC, and smart classrooms were shared between the two nations during the ceremony.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for collaboration in the fields of water resources and information and communication was signed. Additionally, documents were shared to strengthen the two countries' security collaboration.

Premier Li Qiang called the completion of the airport a major milestone in his speech and commended the efforts of the Chinese and Pakistani workers in finishing the project.

He underlined that Gwadar is a representation of the close friendship between the two nations as well as a center for regional growth.

China will continue to support Pakistan's development, Li Qiang reaffirmed, adding that the two countries' strategic alliance is growing stronger over time and that the prosperity of Pakistan's people is important to them.

In his speech, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the many Memorandums of Understanding that China and Pakistan have signed in areas including commerce, industry, and agriculture. He went on to say that the two countries' friendship is beginning a new phase as a result of these bilateral agreements.

He commended China's important contribution to furthering Pakistan's economic agenda and hailed its unwavering commitment to the country's development. Shehbaz Sharif described Gwadar International Airport as another flower added to the bouquet of CPEC, pointing out that it is evidence of the close friendship between China and Pakistan.
