Imran Khan withdraws from the campaign for chancellorship at Oxford University

Imran Khan, a former prime minister and member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), is not running for chancellor of Oxford University.

The list of applicants for the position has been released by the esteemed university. Prominent individuals are taking part in this selection process for Oxford University's conventional and symbolic Chancellor role.

Prominent British architect Sir Norman Foster, prominent attorney Peter Craig, and former UK prime minister Boris Johnson are among the contenders.

In a recent interview, PTI leader Zulfi Bukhari disclosed that lobbying firms had been hired to help Imran Khan's bid for Oxford's chance to become chancellor.

Additionally, he said that since he did not accept any payment from anyone for the use of lobbying firms, no one should be offended.

According to local media, a well-known law firm, Matrix Chambers, stated that it believes Imran Khan does not fit the university's requirements for being eligible to serve as chancellor.
