Concerns were raised about the persistent problem of PIA employees not reporting back to work during stopovers overseas when the missing crew member, known as Mohsin Raza, vanished during a layover in Toronto. On October 13, Raza, who was stationed in Islamabad, was supposed to catch aircraft PK 784 from Toronto to Karachi. He was discovered gone from his hotel, though, after neglecting to report for duty.
